Can you help us?
Theonlyshape doesn’t make a profit; far from it. It’s run by volunteers, tea, and a great many smiles. It’s a fantastic thing, but it costs, both time and money.
Can you help us progress?
We’re a tight-knit bunch at theonlyshape, but we’re always looking for like-minded people to lend their skills to help us progress. If you think you would be able to help in any way with the promotion and progression of theonlyshape, please do get in touch.
Can you help us save money?
- Theonlyshape is always after volunteers to help print it’s copies. If you can spare your printer (or even better, that monster printer at work!) for an afternoon, it would help the magazine greatly. We aim to get the magazine printed professionally eventually, but for the first few issues, we’re relying on you!
- We’re also on the look out for volunteers to help distribute the magazine, to promote it within their community. If you’re a contributor, it makes sense for you to help us get your work seen! Stick copies in local cafés, art galleries, waiting rooms, hairdressers, coffee shops, wherever you can; help us help you get noticed!
- We’re a non-profit magazine, and currently, we receive no funding whatsoever. If you’d like theonlyshape to continue producing great issues and promoting talented people, please consider donating a little to our cause. Every little helps!
Can you help us save time?
If you can’t spare any of your own time, please spare some of ours! When you submit work, please follow the submission guidelines, which you can find here. Sticking to the guidelines helps us work quicker, and that means more time spent promoting your work!
Can you sell theonlyshape magazine?
We’re currently looking for stockists of theonlyshape magazine. If you own or run an art gallery, creative space, café, community centre, or even if you’d like to sell copies yourself, please let us know! If you’d like to embed the digital version on your website, we’ll be posting a news article on how to do that shortly.
REALLY like the work Xander – a truly sterling effort, especially cos you’re just doing it for the love of it by the sounds of it.
It’s very readable too (the content and the design). You’ve got some really good contributors. It’s got a really original but simple and strong style to it. I’d like to see issue 1, too.
Well impressed. Keep up the good work.
